I. The Real Problem Isn't Conflict — It's How We Learned to Survive It

Key reframe: Conflict itself isn't sin. It's inevitable, even in Scripture (Paul and Barnabas, Acts 15:39). The problem is the wounded responses we bring into it.

•   Most of us didn't choose our conflict style — we discovered it. As kids, we learned what kept us safe: go silent, get loud, disappear, take the blame, fix everyone.

•   That response wasn't weakness or sin back then — it was protection. A kid who learned that silence kept Dad from escalating was doing something smart. But we're not that kid anymore.
